The CSG™ [1] is also able to accept Certificate querying requests received from successfully authenticated Digi-CA™ [1] clients. Upon receiving a valid request, the CSG™ forwards the request to the configured Digi-CA™ [2] System and provides the response to the requesting DSSA™ client containing the current status of a particular Certificate request, for which the query was received. If the Certificate status is pending, the CSG™ provides a corresponding message to the requesting DSSA™ client informing about the current status of the Certificate request. If the Certificate was issued by the Digi-CA™ System and is ready, the CSG™ fetches the Certificate from the Digi-CA™ System and provides a corresponding response to the requesting DSSA™ client containing the requested Certificate. The response is provided in the single communication session.

The mini-CA sub-system of CSG™ is a simple solution providing the basic functionalities of a typical CA [3]PKI [4] system, thus enabling CSG™ with the ability to issue, renew and revoke DSSA™ client digital Certificates as well as certificate for the administering user.
