BITS & Digi-Sign at GITEX 2009

Abdul Rahman Al-Jaafari, governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) formally opened GITEX Saudi Arabia 2009 — the 8th International Information Technology Exhibition, at the Riyadh Exhibition Center.

Amongst the 400 exhibitors, BITS showcased the Digi-Sign suite of digital certificate and signature solutions to the 100,000 visitors at the event.

BidSync State of Utah Digital Signature Bidding System

Digi-Sign announces the formal agreement with BidSync, as signed on 3 January and amended 5 March 2009, for the provision of the Digi-Seal™ digital signature signing system and Digi-ID™ digital signatures.

BidSync provides online bidding systems to the State of Utah, Princeton University, Hamilton County, State of California, Miami Beach, Santa Clara and many others.

EU Qualified Certificates

Digi-Sign is been formally notified of its acceptance as a national certification service provider for issuing qualified certificates to the public by the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources in Ireland.

CIO Key Ceremony Completed

The Gulf News (www.gulf-daily-news.com) Newspaper for the entire Arabian Gulf annouced that "THE Central Informatics Organisation has officially issued and approved the main electronic keys authenticating e-signatures. CIO president Mohammed Ahmed Al Amer patronised the ceremony under tight security in line with international standards. The event is part of preparations to develop and launch the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
